The League is made up of 12 teams, including 7 inaugural teams and 4 expansion teams.
Each team selects 1 fighter per division, totaling 11 fighters per team.
The buy-in for 2026 is $100. The winner will be paid $600, runner-up $100, and the remaining money is re-invested into the league.
Each team can access free agency three times throughout the year. It can only be used if your fighter is coming off a loss, is long term injured, suspended due to drugs, retires or faces a long layoff. Free agency must be approved by the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner collectively, if the claim is made by the Commissioner or Deputy Commissioner, it must be a majority vote by the league. Your scores to date stand via departing fighter. Free agency is only available until September 30.
Each team can sign one new fighter per year from a waiver wire, held reverse ladder order. The fighter must be a new signing to the UFC. The team must delist a fighter in that fighter's division to replace them. New signing card must be used by September 30.
The Wang Cong Card can be used by each team once throughout the year and will double the points scored by one fighter for one fight. For example, you may use your Wang Cong Card on Max Holloway against Charles Oliveira for the BMF title fight. You would earn double points on whatever Max earns that night. If Max finishes Charles and earns a bonus, he would earn 25 points, with a Wang Cong Card applied, that would be 50 points. You must message in the chat prior to the fight commencing to activte your Wang Cong Card.
After discussion between the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner, and feedback from teams, we are implementing the below changes with a focus on providing teams more opportunity to be competitive at year’s end:
No captains in 2026. This decision was made to tighten the gap between teams on the ladder and remove the issue some teams face when their captain does not compete for whatever reason.
In lieu of this, we are implementing a ‘joker’ card, or what we will know as the ‘Wang Cong Card’.
Free agency is loosening. You can now use your free agency card 3 times in 2026, up from 2. Eligibility has increased to include a fighter who has lost, retired, long term injured or banned. This allows teams to access the free agency pool more often and with more flexibility. Your fighter loses badly on Sunday? He’s gone by Monday. The September 30 cutoff remains.
Bonus points for top 5 fights. This is a small one however will provide some extra scoring options. If your fighter is ranked in the top 5 and fights another fighter ranked in the top 5, the winner will get a 3 points bonus.
We didn't want to end up here, but we are. Punishment for finishing last in season 2026 will be implemented. Deputy Commissioner and I were pondering how do we make this something you actually do. So in 2026 you have the choice of your punishment! You can select from one of the four below punishments and commit now ahead of the year.
